Get out and vote this Monday! Its important and I encourage you to support parties who support artists – our future depends on it. Liberals, NDP & Bloc Quebecois all support artists continuing to get paid when people make copies of music. This has been our right for many years and I hope it can remain this way.
The Election campaign is in the home stretch and the Conservatives are still doing everything they can (including the broadcast of some very un-savory TV ads that focus on the alleged and completely misleading iPod tax) to take millions of dollars in hard earned revenue away from Canadian Artists. Please be certain you understand clearly, that if the Conservatives win a majority Government it is very likely the CPCC levy on blank media will never be extended to include MP3 players and revenue from the private copying levy will dwindle away to nothing very soon.
Please consider this when casting your vote!
