Howdy Folks,
A few minutes to myself at the Driftwood Bed and Breakfast in West County Cork, Ireland. Stunning. A nice change of pace from the Travelodges and Premier Inns in England and the overflowing M5 highways and rest stops. This epic tour of the UK and Ireland has been really great. Today’s show in Skibereen at the Cork Southwest Fest was a blast and after we played we caught sets by Bonnie Prince Billy, Martha Wainwright and the Handsome Family. The dates with Jools Holland have been exceptional. Playing in front of stately homes and castles to 5000 people is pretty damn cool. The show last night in Kilkenny with Jerry Fish was another highlight. Tomorrow finds me in Tullamore opening a show for Damien Dempsey, an Irish singer who I’ve become a fan of ever since I saw him play in Australia years ago. After that it’s Inishbofin Island for a few days and then back to England for one more show opening for Jools Holland at the Charterhouse School in Surrey. Then… home!

The UK press has made a few mentions recently of Three to One (my UK release). Maverick Magazine recently reviewed the record as well as MOJO and the Mail on Sunday (4 Stars and my picture right next to Tom Jones!).
