Hot damn! It’s been busy and only getting busier…
Brooklyn at the Union Hall was killer. Â Twice as many people as August. Â Here’s to doubling the crowd every month! Â I’m back there on Oct 15th with Peter Elkas accompanying me. Â The Polaris gala was amazing and it was a real honour to share the stage with all the other great bands. Â Chad Vangaalen has great stage banter. Â Congrats to Fucked Up for winning the award and for a rocking performance at nights end. Â The next night’s XM Verge Awards were also a blast. Â Thanks to Alexisonfire and Dan Mangan for the shout outs and congrats to you both. Â Fredericton’s Harvest Jazz and Blues, Wolfville’s Deep Roots, Kingston’s Ale House, Montreal’s Club Soda were all really memorable nights, even if they are a little hazy around the edges…
In my  not so spare time I’ve been producing a record for Steve Poltz from San Diego, a world class entertainer and songwriter.  This week I starting producing a record with my good friend David Myles (recently nicknamed “The Weatherman”).  Thisn should be a blast as it will find us journeying to Arizona in December to mix with Bob Hoag at Flying Blanket Recording.  Bob recorded Ladeda for me in 2004.  Connecting the dots and partying on…
