Nominees for the fifth edition of the Canadian Folk Music Awards were announced today in Ottawa, and this year leading the pack is Joel Plaskett with four nominations! Joel has been recognized for Contemporary Album of the Year, Solo Artist of the Year, Producer of the Year and the Pushing the Boundaries Award.
The mission of the Canadian Folk Music Awards is to celebrate and promote Canadian Folk Music in all its forms. The Canadian Folk Music Awards Gala will take place on Saturday, November 21, 2009, at the Canadian Museum of Civilization, Gatineau, Québec.
