Happy holidays everybody! It was a great three nights at the Seahorse Tavern with the three piece Emergency (myself, Dave Marsh, and Chris Pennell) in great spirits and fine form. The crowds were amazing and we dug into some new and old. Thanks to everyone who made it. My ears are still ringing from the cheering. It was great to get back up on stage with the boys again and play some electric axe.
For those of you in Victoria, BC reading this, I’m coming down the chimney to play a solo acoustic show on Tuesday Dec 28 at St Anne’s Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased here. I’m looking forward to singing my heart out for you islanders.
It’s Christmas time, and if you’re out shopping for stocking stuffers, I highly recommended supporting your local independent record shop. Like Taz Records on Market St or Obsolete Records on Agricola Street in Halifax. Coincidently, both shops conveniently stock New Scotland Records. Steve Poltz’s Dreamhouse, Dave Marsh’s True Love Rules, the Thrush Hermit boxset, and and eclectic mix of new 7″ singles by Matthew Grimson, David Myles, Myles Deck and the Fuzz and my repressed Three triple vinyl and it’s companion 7″ Three More. Yep, that’s a photo with me and Anne Murray in the corner!
Rock on Rudolph.
