Mike Campbell (music lover, club booker and fine friend to myself and Halifax) has followed his heart and booked HUFF (the Halifax Urban Folk Fest) happening from Aug 28-Sept 5 at the Carleton amongst other venues on Argyle. I’m thrilled to be sharing the stage with Willie Nile and Lloyd Cole on Sat Sept 3rd as part of a song circle warming up the stage for Jackie Leven. These guys are all legendary songwriters and performers that I’m excited to see for the first time. I highly suggest you check out the schedule here. Both Willie Nile and Jackie Leven’s shows will have members of the Emergency in the Halifax All Star backing band. Peter Elkas will also be in town at the Seahorse on Sept 3 and the Carleton solo on Sept 4th. It’ll be an epic week of music. See you there.
