Thanks to the 700 (!) people who showed up in Springhill last night to sing along and make a really memorable show.  It was a real honour to be invited to help celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Anne Murray Centre and to get to meet Anne Murray!  Nice to play a town I’d never made it to before.  Pre-show  the staff at JB’s tavern served up a great plate of pan fried scallops while Merlin, McLeod and Martin entertained us with Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash tunes.  Thanks to the excellent David Myles for opening the show and to my dad, Bill, for keeping the guitar picking rolling as I reached for cheat notes to Lying on a Beach verse three.
This Friday I pick up the electric guitar again and rock it with the Emergency at the New Glasgow Jubilee. Â Dear sunshine, please stay…
