Hey World,
First off, Happy Canada Day. Be sure to draw a map of Canada on the back of a cartoon coaster by the blue TV screen light at some point tonight. Last night in St. John’s was a total blast although slightly blurry by night’s end at the Fat Cat on George Street. July will be a fun month of traveling and rocking for the Emergency. We’re very excited to be heading to Sarnia on July 10th to warm up the stage for the Tragically Hip. Then on to the Vancouver Folk Fest on July 15th, where we’ll be playing right after Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, two of my favorite songwriters and quite possibly the world’s finest duo. My voice should up and running that night from humming along with their songs. Then to Alberta for Calgary and Canmore Folk Fests later in the month. I guess this is how the west was won. Looking forward.
